What would happen if you were incapable of making critical decisions about your own medical treatment?

A Living Will (also known as an Advance Directive) is a document setting out the circumstances under which you would not want to receive life-prolonging medical treatment if you were to become seriously ill in the future and were unable to make your own health care decisions.

A Living Will takes the responsibility of making difficult decisions away from close relatives by informing your doctors of your wishes, even if you can't communicate them at the time.

Currently, Living Wills are not legally binding on your doctors, although under future legislation this will change.

To make a Living Will, or to discuss your options with one of our team, please call Moerans on 020 8952 0242.
