The death of a close relative brings emotional and potentially financial strain to even the strongest of families.

Even if the person who dies leaves a Will, in most cases it is not enough to enable the named executors to carry out the deceased's wishes. The validity of the Will must be proven to the High Court, and it is this process that is known as Probate. The executors powers stem from the Grant of Probate - essentially a Court Order - and not from the Will itself.

At Moerans, we will help you through this difficult time by making sure that the process of obtaining the Grant of Probate is made as simple as possible.

Before a Grant of Probate can be obtained, documentation must be presented to the Court and HM Revenue and Customs showing the deceased's assets and liabilities, and any Inheritance Tax due must be paid. At Moerans we can take care of all of the neccessary paperwork and administration with the sensitivity and respect that this difficult time requires.

For immediate assistance in dealing with any Probate related issues please call us on 020 8952 0242.
