Accident or illness causing incapacity can strike at any time, potentially causing serious financial problems you might not have even considered.

If someone loses the ability to manage their own affairs, and has made no other arrangements (e.g. an Enduring Power of Attorney) then you may have to apply to the Court of Protection to be appointed as a Receiver. This will then enable you to manage that persons financial matters.

The application process, which is designed to protect the individual, can be complex, long and difficult, and if granted the Receivership Order can be extremely restrictive.

Moerans are specialists in Receivership applications, and can help you ensure your application is successful, and the resulting order is appropriate for your particular circumstances.
